A mixed media piece designed for access to a light switch through the back of a bookshelf. This was an early experiment involving printing a larger piece in several parts due to the limited dimensions of the printer bed. The frame was printed in Monoprice wood PLA and was coated with epoxy resin after assembly. The wooden inserts are laser etched with motifs from a National Ornamental Glass Manufacturers Association catalogue published in 1914.
The enamel light switch plate and stuffed animal in the final photographs were both created by Erin’s grandmother, Geraldine M. Berg.
